Today there were three homeless people diving into the dumpster in the alley behind our apartment. Wanting to throw away some trash and then start cleaning my car, I waited until they had moved on down the alley to another trash can before I went to the dumpster. I tossed my trash and as I start heading towards the car, one of the guys down the alley starts yelling from behind me that I was carrying a gun because I'm a "cracker" and they found a box from a gun in the dumpster that had to be mine. I had said nothing to any of them and didn't even look at the group as I was going to my car. One started following behind me ranting and yelling at me saying things like: "I was walking around like Liam neesan looking to kill a n*****." I went to my car, turned around and told the guy to leave me alone. I didn't know what else to say, I do always carry because we live in a sketch part of the city. But he made the assumption that because of the box they found in the dumpster (not mine) and because I was white that I was out looking for trouble. I guess this is more of a casual conversation post, the guy left after, still ranting and I just started cleaning my car. I'm in an interracial relationship and my wife loves to shoot targets as much as I do. Was he wrong in assuming I was carrying because I am white? I guess not, I carry iwb under a shirt and large over shirt so there's no chance it was printing. I had waited until they left the dumpster and I couldnt see them anymore before going down to the dumpster in order to avoid them completely. Anyone have any thoughts? The whole experience was surreal. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2zoT23e
