Last night i was with a buddy of mine , we both got off work and stopped at chik fil a to grab food and it eat in a parking lot. Ive been friends with this guy since middle school and he’s my closest friend and he’s the only person that knows i carry.Well in the parking lot , a car rolls up and stops next to us and the passenger window rolls down and the guy in the passenger pulls out a small DSLR and aims it like a gun and starts yelling “HEY”. I immediately had the instinct to reach for my 19 i had on me and take cover behind my car. Well i stopped as soon as i realized 1. it was shaped too weird to be a gun 2. they were both laughing and 3. i recognized both of them.Ended up being these dumb fucks we both went to school with and they were just “playin”. We both laughed it off (i didnt find it funny neither did he because we both know it couldve ended badly) , and they just said long time no see and drove off.Right after they left my buddy turns to me and asked if i was carrying and i told him i almost drew. One thing i learned was i had a 2 second hesitation to let things sink in which thankfully gave me time to not let things escalate badly but if it was a real gun i would’ve possibly got killed with those 2 seconds. I also didnt want to fire in the direction of the restaurant as the car was between me and the drive through so i am glad that was one of the first thoughts that ran into my mind.Would i have been justified in pulling and firing? It was at night and it seriously seemed like a gun and he intentionally aimed it that way. i want to learn from this scenario and use it for any (god forbid) future scenarios. Thanks via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/3cLqFLd
