Close encounter with the neighbors dog

I live in a fairly large apartment complex with my wife and dog. With no pet rent lots of tenants have dogs and it’s not uncommon to pass 5-10 people with a dog when I go for a walk.Last night I was taking my dog out for our nightly walk. I normally carry a g43 appendix. This older lady was following me and My dog, her dog was barking and growling yet she kept following me. I recognized her as having a fairly aggressive dog who likes to bark growl and generally pull her owner around when there are other dogs around. Normally I see her coming and walk the other direction. Last night I found her following me down the sidewalk however. Her dog began to bark and growl, eventually pulling out of her leash and tried to start fighting my dog.I grabbed her dog and pinned it to the ground by the scruff of its neck, she came over apologizing and got the leash back. She didn’t walk away in the other direction after getting her dog back and her dog pulled awayAGAIN, this time knocking her down. she hit her head on the sidewalk with a loud thud . The dog ran past me to the opposite side of me from where her owner was.I put My dog behind my legs and started to reach for my gun and the other dog just stood 3-4 feet away from me until her owner stumbled over and got her dog a second time. The whole time alternating between saying oww my head and screaming at her dog to stop. I asked her if she was ok then quickly left before her dog got away from her a third time.In the end, I didn’t draw my gun or make it known that I was carrying, my dog wasn’t hurt. I’m planning on talking to the leasing office when they open today. While I don’t want anyone to have their dog taken away I’m torn when there is a resident who has a fairly aggressive dog that the owner can not control. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/3apyHHy
