I've grown up shooting guns my entire life, but I am just now getting into concealed carry. I got my permit almost 2 years when I turned 21, and I have just been carrying a Ruger P85 in my car but not on my person. I love the feel of the P85 and am wanting to get a 1911 Commander size for CC (specifically the Sig Nightmare carry), but I am worried about it being too big to comfortably carry everyday. I know it's a couple tenths of an inch longer than some other "compacts" like a G19 and about an inch shorter than "subcompacts", but it is also thinner which might make up for some of that.
