Too many people only have negative exposure to guns through the media. They aren't aware of all the responsible gun owners around them on a daily basis. If we want to win people's perception on guns then we have to normalize them. They should be no more taboo than tattoos. How do we do that? By open carrying and engaging with those around us. When is the last time you took someone to the range who has never shot before? If you don't want more gun control then bring more people to the pro-gun side. Don't argue with them, listen and hear out their concerns, and show them the truth. If we want to win over people's perception then we must change our tactics.
