Mental health and guns

I’m not sure this is the right place to ask, but it seemed as good as any.Hypothetically, if someone believes they have a mental disorder, seek professional help, and are diagnosed with clinical depression or the like, would they lose their right to carry and/or own a firearm? I understand ATF Form 4473 only specifically prohibits those who have been involuntarily committed, but what about those who voluntarily seek help and a major mental problem is discovered? Is that just a risk involved with looking for help? I know the answer may vary by state and the only concrete answer would be from a lawyer in the state in question, but being a what-if question it seems a little trivial to ask a lawyer. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2HPJEXh
