Need help with a stupid conversation.

I was going back and forth with a family member about edc revolvers and when it came up to calibers they wanted 38 special. I told them that .327 federal mag is better in every which way but they still said 38 is better... help me understand if im right or they're rightEdit: yea i think i'm some sort of idiot sorry for posting this.
