Are these irrational fears?

I want to carry appendix, and I've watched so many videos/read so many articles both for and against them.Two objections that I haven't really seen thoroughly addressed are these:Is there a chance (no matter how small) that some random electrostatic charge could somehow cause the primer to ignite without the trigger being pulled and the striker hitting the primer? In other words, the gun could go off while in a proper functioning holster?As infinitesimal as the probability of the above (or a mechanical failure or something else) happening, the problem isn't the odds, it's the stakes. An ND/AD while in an AIWB holster is just worse than a ND/AD while in strong side holster. So if we often say "we carry not for the odds, but for the stakes", how do appendix carriers reconcile this? via /r/CCW http://bit.ly/2WJKglY
