Is this intimidation?

Maybe this is a waste of a post, but I figured I would post and see if anyone has had anything similar happen.A co-worker of mine got hit and run over on his bike a few weeks back. Ever since, we've been carpooling as he lives right on my commute route and he is unable to bike to work. (He doesn't own a car) His neighbors have a 16yr old kid that is a drug dealer and gang member, according to my co-worker. It is not unusual to see this 16yr old and a gang of 4-6 other guys hanging out on their porch when we pull up and I drop him off around 6pm. I typically wave and greet them.Earlier this week, same thing happens: As we pull by the 16yr old and the crew of guys hanging out, I wave and say hello. I notice that this day, there is a woman holding a baby on the porch, too. Anyway, I pull a bit into my co-workers drive to let him out, and as I am backing out into the street, i look over to see this 16yr old rather obviously sliding a handgun into his jean's pocket. He is looking the other way, but was standing in a clearly visible position and sliding the gun into the pocket on my side. After I've pulled out, I drive away.Basically - should I take this as a gesture of intimidation or something??? It's weird that he was either removing and then putting back, or somehow adjusting, this handgun in a clearly visible position. But it's also a city with a lot of crime and a rough neighborhood, so perhaps it is also just par for the course.Anyone else have something similar happen before? via /r/CCW http://bit.ly/2w014uj
