Does Taking CCW Class Register Me?

My friend wants me to join him in taking a CCW class but I'm concerned about the red flag laws that were recently passed in my state (CO) and I'm not sure I want to be on a list where some random person can know there are firearms in my house. Since you can find that info out in CO by doing a FOIA request, I don't think I'm ready to get my CCW license yet, but I would love to join him for the class. My understanding is you take the class and then you need to meet with the sheriff to get your license.​By taking the class will I show up on FOIA requests regarding whether or not I have a CCW license?
