What are the pros and cons of facing a potential attacker with your right shoulder?

I mean only slightly turning your torso towards them, but mostly facing them with the side of your body.

What I like about it is that it keeps your stomach, your crotch and most of your chest out of reach for the potential attacker.

I understand it's a downside that your left hand is unavailable, but if you're right-handed, maybe that's a fair price to pay?

Is it even recommended?
