Alright, about those Permit posts....Community input needed.

So the permit posts are overtaking our subreddit. There are a few solutions available to curb this, including a weekly permit post, however we feel that a stricter format for the permit posts will both reduce the low quality posts, as well as make the permit posts more valuable. We also feel this will be easier to understand than a weekly thread for new users and we dont have to ban permit posts. So here is what we are thinking for this.Permit posts must be a link post with a picture of your license and the personal information blocked out. They must have the flair "Permits" assigned.(We will split out "Permitting" flair into "Permitting Info" and "Permits")The comment detailed below will need to be posted within 30 minutes. There must be a top level comment in the thread with the format of: State/County:Processing Time:Gear Setup (holsters, belt, gun, etc):Training Completed/scheduled:Thoughts: We know the above requirements can be annoying and we don't expect everyone to know this before they submit it. We will leverage our CCW_AutoMod bot to supply a message soon after the post is created to detail the requirements. The bot will then remove the thread if the requirements were not completed (in 30 minutes). There will be a bit of trial and error with the bot at first so we will manually monitor this process at the beginning. All the mods are in agreement that we think this is the best path forward, it's a step in creating quality content without banning permit posts. We want the community's input on this path before it is implemented. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2GzOncu
