Anyone foster/adopt while being a CCW holder or having a gun ready for home defense?

My wife and I are starting the process of adopting an older child, and learned that to do so, you must become approved as a foster family before being allowed to adopt after a set period of fostering the child you plan to adopt - I hope this makes sense. Anyway, we live in PA - if you have gone through this process in PA or another state, how was being a gun owner and/or concealed carrier viewed by the state and agency? Any issues caused by it?
