Don't underestimate the power of the wedge.

They work...really really well.Little backstory:I just recently got my first gun and holster...a G19 and a quick-ship TRex Sidecar respectively. Going into it, I was cautiously optimistic about my ability to comfortably conceal that rig given my frame, 6'0, ~215#. I have a bit of a gut, but it's smaller than it was in july when I was at 248, and I plan to continue to lose weight.Anyway...I wore the rig all day monday and just as I was worried, my gut pushed the slide of the g19 out just a bit too much for my liking so that I wouldn't be comfortable concealing it with just a t-shirt. I had to put a sweatshirt on over it to mitigate printing. After I discovered that, I went on Ebay and ordered a Stealthgear IWB to give 4:00 a try.Last night, I went to the range with my girlfriend and got to talking about my new rig with one of the instructors there that I'm buddy-buddy with. He recommended trying a foam wedge on the back of the holster similar to what other holster makers do. He even cut off a piece of foam for me to use from a big block he had lying around.I got home from the range, cut the foam to shape/size, and velcro'd it to the back of the holster and VOILA, the holster now disappears under a t-shirt. I still have that Stealth Gear on order which I still plan on trying out to see if I like it, but the Sidecar works great for me now with the wedge. If you're having a little bit of trouble with slide/grip printing on your AIWB rig, try a wedge if you haven't already. They freaking work.TL;DR: Per the advice of an instructor I know, I put a foam wedge on the back of my G19/Sidecar rig to address some printing issues and it worked like a charm. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2hmjFNz
