Situational Awareness

One thing that came up in my permit class, and that my instructor largely stressed, was situational awareness. Specifically, he used an example of Person #1 pulling his/her gun on Person #2 who was actually defending themselves, assuming Person #2 was the bad guy. Awareness seems like a pretty basic fundamental of just about anything, especially when it comes to deciding to draw your gun, but I wanted to ask this sub if anyone had any experiences or stories of a similar situation? How often does this actually happen? It makes me a little nervous to think I could be shot in the back by someone who didn't take time to understand. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2vBQUka
