Anyone Drive Uber/Lift or Cab? How, What, Where do you carry? Worth Driving? Any hectic SD ish stories?

Just been spending the last hour looking into Uber/Lift driving and wondering if would be worth it or not in Charleston, SC Population 135K. Got me wondering about carry for drivers, and where. State laws I suppose effect a lot on where a concealed pistol can be, even with a CCW, if not on the person, and you have to think of possibility of accidents too.IE...A gun holster screwed into car like Alien Gear sells with a hat over it would be good, in open carry/easy law states, but not in many others. I think illegal in SC, even with CCW to do that, yet Closed Console...like center console is ok even without a CWP/CCW....but that might give access to people in the back? Between seats could go flying in accident, but is still perhaps practical for many. I new one cabbie, she had a Bersa .380 just resting in her side door map panel area. Now, your work environment is driving all day and night, so, your threats can come from basically anywhere. Car Jackers/Road Ragers so you need a Rt hand pistol right? Or it could be the people you picked up, so you need a left hand pistol easily accessed to rotate towards the back?Assuming more shoulder holsters and cross draw then other people use. I used a leather concealment vest, to carry hip, but also like the two large concealment pockets offer acting like a duel shoulder holster when driving if you wish to move it to there......So, where and what do you carry? Any hectic stories, SD situations, or anything like that? And is it worth it at all to be a Uver/Lift driver.....putting the miles and wear on your car? Thanks via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2uYpu4c
