If I were traveling from Alabama for a family trip through the northeast part of USA is there any feasible way to transport my CCW and not fear going to jail for a long time? If I keep ammo and gun seperate and lock them both up away from the driver? What if I disassemble the weapon does that make a difference? Most those states I can carry but NY and DC bother me. Even NC doesn't honor AL permit. I would just feel so weird driving through late at night stopping at gas stations and not really knowing every are like a local and not having my CCW.
