What do you do with your concealed carry when you get home?

I live with a roommate who has no idea that I own guns, let alone carry one. When I get home, I place my EDC in a small safe and lock it up. I have a HD gun that I have easy access to (still in a safe) but find it somewhat pointless. I'm used to my roommate coming home at different hours in the night so I'd really only know someone is breaking into my house if they were to kick in the door or smash a window.Am I in an odd situation? What do those with roommate(s) (or those have had one previously) recommend if I'm not interested in sharing my ownership status with my roommate? via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2kINLrC
