x/post from r/legaladvice I recently applied for a concealed carry permit in my home state of North Carolina after fulfilling all of the requirements. After three months of hearing nothing I called the Sheriff office and found out that it was denied as a result of medical treatment I received at the age of 15. When I was 15 years old I was caught drinking by my parents and they decided to sign me up for a program for underage drinking/drug use. Now I'm 21. Any idea how I should proceed to be granted a permit? I had no choice in receiving treatment when I was 15 and I don't want that to hold me back for the rest of my life. We all make dumb mistakes as kids, Is there any way to get the medical records erased? Would it be smart to meet with a lawyer in my area to possibly have the decision overturned? Am I just shit out of luck? I'm located in Orange County if that makes a difference. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks! via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2iINQJn
