Defensive Shooting Training (X-Post from R/expertinayear)

I've been lurking here for a while and was considering a few things i'd like to do, (BBall, coding, and a few others) but was having difficulty finding something that i'd stick to and could get use out of.I got my CCW last year and wanted to do more than just "get the license"I've spent a good chunk of range time practicing and got pretty decent, but I watch people like Colion Nior shoot and realize I have allot to go before i consider myself and experienced or skilled defensive shooter. The major difficulty I'm having is cost and time. I shoot .40 cal, so ammo and range time costs me effectively $70 an hour. i can afford to do that weekly, but to manage costs I'd rather keep it to semi-weekly. So as a whole I'm having a hard time coming up with how I could get an hour of effective practice in daily. So far I've come up with a few Ideas:Dry firing practiceDrawing and aiming drillsStance change drillsstrength and stamina training (Upperbody training to stabilize shooting)Itarget or the like for some more useful dry fire trainingDefensive shooting study: something like Active self protectionI'm open to any ideas via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2kqWU6O
