Is there any defence against the unseen hit from behind in the street? In Australia we call this the coward punch. There have been people killed by it. There was a case in Perth where a young soccer star was left in a hospital coma; I donated money to his crowd fund to get his parents over.
Now martial arts and weapons don't help here: you can't block what you never see. But is there any tactical training to use the street layout to make it harder for the coward puncher to get a shot away? They want the shot at you from behind. For instance at a train station or a bus stop are there ways of standing or moving to make the coward puncher have to do too much work to get in position.
This is what I WISH that self defence would teach. But it never does. It's not sexy. It doesn't get a photo of ancient Wu Shu. But avoiding the coward puncher can save your life. Note: I am talking about something totally unprovoked for the sake of just doing damage.
