[this is a crosspost from a 'NSFW' subreddit I made]
You just relax, zone out, and move.
For example: Bobbing your head to music with a bit of extra effort here and there to work the sides of the neck and front of the neck along with twists is PLENTY to develop a thick and strong, injury resistant neck. Doing this for hours at a time and slowly increasing the average intensity over the course of days, weeks, and/or months is PLENTY to progress. And with a baseline of activity and general fitness it's easy to incorporate more exercises.
Here is singer George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher:
Fisher released his debut solo album 'Corpsegrinder' on February 25, 2022
All he did was head bang to metal and his neck is HUGE. I don't recommend starting out by thrashing your neck to an EXTREME but the body adapts pretty quickly. Fitness can be fun and relaxing while effective.
Now consider the spine. Instead of just bobbing your neck you can bob your entire body. You can bend side to side, exercising the spine and waist. You can do twists and bend forward and backward all while listening to music. Doing this for a few hours most days will quickly allow harder bobbing, bending, and weaving until you have a spine absolutely WRAPPED with muscle including the back, waist, and ribcage muscles.
This is all a simple process that can be applied to the whole body. The connective tissue and joints will surely benefit and the body will become more durable, enduring, and strong from the sheer volume of work and slow escalation of force generally used.
ok that's it.
