Dumb question: Do you have to purchase a firearm before applying for a CCW permit?

I looked into different CCW training courses within Orange County and their websites say that you should bring your firearm and that ammunition is not included (some ranges do include it).I assumed that I would take a CCW course, get approved for a CCW permit (hopefully), then purchase a firearm. Should I actually complete FSC, purchase a firearm, THEN go for a CCW course? via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/3uuruRn
