Son, let's talk about Grip Sleeves

(Some satire here, keep your britches on) So, you're new to the gun world and don't quite like the jarring feel of the textured polymer of a Glock pistol as it tears at thin epidermis lining your freshly moisturized hands during recoil. I get it. My hands are softer that a babe's behind after a fresh diaper change! But...Grip sleeves are absolutely lethal, guys. I know they seem like a good idea, but in practicality they can get people killed- mainly in relation to the magazine release. I have seen mag releases, especially EXTENDED mag releases, become unintentionally either pressed or difficult-to-press after your gun condom slides up over it- making mags fall out on their own, or forcing you to use a lot more effort to "press" through your Glock tire in order to eject a magazine.I've coined this term, the "Flacid Effect," similar to when... well, you know, and your rubber falls off since you realize that the alcohol's wearing off and your girls lack of teeth is actually quite disturbing. Same thing happens with grips sleeves, except instead of the metaphorical grip shrinking, it shifts due to being drawn repetitively- big no-no if you're getting in a defensive scenario.I'm not telling you they're gimmicky and will get you killed, butttt they're a gimmick and potentially could get you killed. Just raw dog your Glock and don't be afraid to get a little carpetburn during the ride- it's better then blowing your loadout before you're even able to get shots off.Oh, and if you have one to "change the grip angle," you're holding your pistol wrong and need some training, no offense intended. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/34wRgJt
