Denial of my CCW ?

I live in OhioWhen I purchased my gun , it went through completely smooth , I’ve never been in a mental institution , never been arrested for anything and have no felonies .Today I got a letter of denial because of “drug conviction”At first I didn’t even know what they were talking about then later remembered when I was 19 a friend and I were smoking a roach in his Van and this cop came up on us , I had 2 G’s in my pocketI just plead guilty when I went to court for it , but my friend plead not guilty , and his Attorney told him the cop did something wrong and he got out of it with nothing on his record , and I got a Misdemeanor for itI’ve been completely sober for years , I don’t even drink , am I really having an entire right revoked over a misdemeanor that didn’t even “have” to be on my record ?
