There is a person who wants to hurt me. He sat down next to my family and I at a restaurant. What are my options to keep this guy away in that scenario?

I can take retaliatory measures against the guy outside of this scenario, but what can I really do in the moment?

I told him to leave, but he was insistent on being there. He said, "oh, I'll be gone in a second. I just want to say hi to everyone."

This is someone who I have no problem fighting off when the situation is on my side, such as if he was on my property. However, when it's in public, I get a little nervous because I don't know what will happen if I cause a scene.

I could taser the guy, pin him to the ground, or pepper spray him, but could that be seen as assault?

I'm also realizing that this is how the mafia and gangs terrorize people. They could send one of their members in and do this, and then if I fail to allow it they would hurt me or my family.

How would you respond to someone you know is against you coming to sit with your family in public?
