"No safety is safest safety" Quote from YouTube - Manual Safety Discussion

I have been watching YouTube videos (I know that was my first mistake) and the vast majority of firearm channels advise everyone to NOT EDC a pistol with a manual safety. Their reasons are all the same:The time it takes to disengage the manual safety in an emergency is too valuable and will cost you your life.Part of the fight-or-flight sympathetic response is a loss of fine motor skills and so you will not be able to physically disengage a safety in an emergency.Safeties are "notorious" for breaking/malfunctioning, and Murphy's Law says that it will happen during a self-defense situation. Can someone provide me a news story, or even an anecdote they heard, where someone drew their firearm in a self-defense situation and was injured/shot/killed because they had a safety on their firearm?I am not trying to start a flame war or anything. I am being serious with this question.I am not pro or anti safety. I just want to hear everyone's opinions. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/31pQ9uf
