Hello everyone, hope you are all well.I was cleaning my firearms today and got to my Gen 5 Glock 19. When I got to my barrel, the patches (using Hoppe’s No. 9) came out with an aqua blue residue (pictured).I have never seen this before and a quick google search gave me no results. Came here to see if anyone else has had this experience or if I can get any insight into why this is happening.Some more information about the firearm: hasn’t been fired since December, cleaned afterwards; last cleaned and lubed in March; only carried maybe 10-15 days since that last cleaning; everything on/in the firearm is stock including sights.Edit: Just moved on to my factory new (unfired) Glock 34 and I’m getting the same residue from the barrel as wellThanks in advance! via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2C53i22
