Blue alpha gear belt

I think I’ve seen a couple of you say that you use the blue alpha gear low profile edc belt underneath basketball shorts from time to time. Is it stiff enough? Does the Velcro hold the belt together sturdy enough?As of right now I have the -ore tactical belt (took out the k because it’s banned here I’m pretty sure, no clue why but I’ll roll with it). Would you say the blue alpha gear hybrid edc belt is better? Any other belt recommendations, or should I stick with what I have?
