Due in part to boredom and in part to a friend asking me for advice on range drills for an intermediate (yeah, I know that's subjective) level shooter, I came up with the below. I am ABSOLUTELY open to criticism, advice, ideas and evolution. That said, I hope this helps some folks out in terms of not just "throwing money down a hallway really fast!" This was designed to maximize 100 rounds at the range yet still have some fun. Obviously for some folks, the default times listed are for "noobs", others of us, they are solid goals!Sorry for the crappy format, I actually have this in a very snazzy word document including pretty pictures!Instructions:All segments are shot from the holster or low ready if drawing from the holster is not an option at your range or you have not yet qualifiedAll segments are timed but can be done without suchDistance is listed per drill (y=yards)Target is an 8.5x11 sheet of paper for the “body” and the same sheet folded/cut 4 times for the “head” or really any IDPA/USPCA style target but come on, sheets of paper are cheap!Cumulative round count: 100Segment 1: 1 round to head at 3y - in 2.0s – x12Segment 2: 2 rounds to body at 3y - in 2.5s – x5Segment 3: 1 round to body, speed reload, 2 rounds to body at 5y – in 7s – x4Segment 4: 2 rounds to body, 1 round to head at 5y - in 7s - x4Segment 5: Stove pipe clear, 4 rounds to body at 5y – in 6s – x2Segment 6: Double feed clear, 4 rounds to body at 5y – in 10s – x2Segment 7: 5 rounds to body, speed reload, 5 rounds to body at 7y – in 12s – x1Segment 8: 10 rounds to body at 10y – in 8.5s – x1Segment 9: 10 rounds to body at 15y – in 15s – x1Segment 10: 2 rounds to body, tactical reload, 2 rounds to head at 5y – in 8.5s – x2 via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/3bbtTXP
