Not exactly CCW, but this question does have to do with the storage and possible use of a weapon and this sub seems to give good advice.I have been thinking about the video that has been circulating around the gun forums showcasing how fast a large group of home invaders was able to gain entry into somebody's house. I began to wonder if I would be able to grab a weapon and hunker down on such short notice and came to the conclusion that I could most of the time.I found that, if I were in the bathroom during this hypothetical break-in, that I was pretty much screwed. I am not a very big person and am not trained in any sort of martial art or self defense discipline. While the sight of me soaking wet and naked may spook the thief, I would like to be able to have something in my hand other than my dick... Correlation was most certainly intended. So, I began tossing around the idea of keeping a pistol in the bathroom, either under the sink or in the medicine cabinet. I have two questions in regard to this:1.) Am I being a paranoid wreck or is this something that is at least acceptable?2.) Would keeping a weapon in the bathroom, which can become a hot and damp environment, be detrimental to the weapon I keep there if I go through with this idea?Any input would be appreciated. via /r/CCW http://bit.ly/2LHxIva
