FYI: New batches of Federal HST (Premium Law Enforcement 50rd. boxes / 9mm 124gr) have red sealant around the primers and bullets.

I just got a couple boxes in from an online retailer, and noticed this right away. It looks like the same stuff that Remington has been putting around their Golden Saber primers for a while now.On the new HST's it is a red ring around the primer, and a similar red ring between the bullet and the brass. All the HST's I've had before this did not have any visible sealant at all. But it's worth mentioning that I bought those boxes years ago, so... maybe this isn't a new thing?No big deal, but interesting all the same. I wonder if they had moisture issues, and then had to use a more aggressive "Loctite" approach to address it? Whatever happened, this does prove that Federal have changed their manufacturing process for HSTs, even if only to use a different sealant method.
