As the title says, I was curious if smooth grips on a carry gun is a bad idea. I'm looking at getting new grips from Lok for my PCR and I'm trying to get custom work done.The grip options before me were roughneck, checkered, and smooth. Roughneck was out due to it being too aggressive. I'm still considering checkered because they look similar in texture to the stock grips which I like a lot but Lok doesn't recommend for ccw according to their description. The smooth grips would be "better" for carrying but I was concerned about how much traction and smooth grip gives. via /r/CCW http://bit.ly/2DK0G7k
