I've been carrying for about 3 years and each year I inevitably downsize to a smaller gun because the summers here are just too dang hot (Arizona). Started with a .40, dropped to 9mm, and now I am sitting with the .380 Ruger LCP II.I am pleased with this gun because it is the only one I can pocket carry comfortably. I have no excuses to leave it at home, even on those 110F temperature days. I've taken the LCP II to the range a few times and I feel very confident with my shot on it. I've had no feed issues or any sort of trouble. The trigger is light per my own preference, and the overall profile of the gun handles well with me.However, I don't want to be a blind fanboy of any product, and so I would like to hear about your opinions and whether you have had any issues with the gun. I have done some searching and there seemed to be a controversy regarding the gun being unsafe to carry because of a lack of firing pin block, but I have since discovered there is a hammer-catch mechanism to help prevent the hammer from contacting the firing pin unless the trigger is pulled. Does anyone know if this does indeed make the gun drop-safe? Does anyone else have other issues to report? Thanks. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2qEZ08I
