So I finally got around to submitting my application for concealed carry about a month ago.I'm in Oklahoma, so the process goes as follows for an initial application. Get certified via a class, fill out application, pay the Sheriff's office $25 to process application/take fingerprints, then the Sheriff's office sends the application and cashier's check for $200 (for 10 years) to the OSBI (Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation), then the OSBI does it's thing.Last week, I see a letter from the OSBI, and my heart leaps into my throat, unable to contain my excitement. I grab the letter, and bend it... to my dismay, I know immediately that there is no card inside. My application has been returned due to a lack of signature on the cashiers check. Kind of ticked off that my bank didn't sign it, but then again, I probably should have checked before applying, so oh well.So I've since gone back to the bank and gotten the necessary signature on the cashier's check. I'm pretty sure all I need to do is send it and the application directly to the OSBI since I've already cleared processing/fingerprinting/etc. from the Sheriff's office. Of course, I'd like to clarify that with either the Sheriff's office or the OSBI, but have called each at least once a day for the last week, leaving messages, etc., and still have not gotten through to anyone from either office. Did you guys know that nobody at the OSBI works on Friday? From what I can tell, they don't work Monday through Thursday either. Aside from the receptionist.So... I'm resorting to reddit. What do you all think? Straight to the OSBI? I'm pretty sure this is right, but am just looking for a little reassurance before I send off my application again and end up waiting around for a month while nothing happens. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2vtepxz
