[Discussion] Moving to da/sa from striker fired

So my first handgun I bought for CC was a springfield xd mod 2, 4", which is of course, striker fired. Well I'm currently looking at getting a Sig p229 legion or a springfield EMP4 Concealed carry contour, both of which are da/sa. As this is very new territory for me and I don't have any gun enthusiast friends I thought I'd ask you guys. Anything I should know? I've read a few things about "always carry decocked" which I don't know what that really means or why I need to do that. Also both of these guns are all metal, where my xd is polymer. So that's gonna be new for me as well. Any helpful comments or suggestions are welcome. Thanks all. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2vU7Tyv
