Accidental discharge at leather shop.

Fortunately it wasn't our leather shop! A friend of mine who owns a leather supply store posted this on his personal Facebook page a couple of days ago (not sure if he wants the shop name publicized, so I'm leaving that out) and I just wanted to share his story:I have been making custom gun holsters for over 35 years... and have found that the overwhelming majority of gun owners are respectful and mindful of safety. We just had a dude come into the store wanting a double rig shoulder rig for two Glock 45's [my friend corrected himself in a later post and said it was a G19]. This idiot opened his gun case, took out his gun and ejected the mag, then proceeded to eject the chambered shell.. only to discharge the gun into our concrete floor.. We had customers and sales staff standing all around him, and only for the Grace of God, no one was injured. The dude then acted like "or well, how do you want to measure me for the holster?". My answer was first, to make sure no one was injured, then to escort him out of the store... What an idiot! Some people do not need to own guns. We now have signage indicating that NO GUN CAN BE UN-HOLSTERED INSIDE THE STORE WITHOUT FIRST UNLOADING OUTSIDE. It is hard to prohibit CC inside our facility because we cater to gun owners... but no one should un-holster their gun or handle a gun inside the store unless it is un-loaded. From now on, we will not allow anyone to handle a gun without getting with one of our sales staff and making sure it is unloaded before bringing it inside the store. We still have not found out where the bullet went after it struck the concrete... so thankful no one was injured. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2kehhIY
