Hello everyone, a while back I had posted about the legalities of having a sign at my apartment complex saying 'no firearms allowed, including valid CCW holders.' I live in Nebraska and signs carry weight as that is 'notice.' I went to renew my contract and I specifically asked if there was anything in the contract prohibiting me from carrying and/or owning firearms (I never told them if I had anything) on property and defending myself in case someone broke in my apartment. They said that would not impede my renewal just as long as I don't go flashing around what I have. Obviously, any respectable gun owner and CCW holder would not be doing this. Before I signed my contract, I requested the sign to be removed as it would be in violation of my 2nd Amendment rights and the right to defend my own living space if there was an attempt to break in. They actually did! Took about a month - probably because they were reviewing the laws - but I'm glad now they removed about 5 signs that were referencing no firearms allowed. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2k0OYsH
