Before reading: This is one of those stories that is a friend of the guy, so take it with a grain of salt. This is what I was told happened. This guy is a local from my community here in North-East PA. He was headed to his buddies place, who lives near the PA border with NJ. He brought a few of his handguns with him cause they were gonna go to the range. While on his way to his friends house, his GPS automatically rerouted him to cross the border into NJ due to construction. He accidentally goes over the border for about 2 miles, following the GPS when he gets pulled over. He has his concealed carry pistol and two other handguns (unloaded and in a lockbox) in the trunk of his SUV. His concealed carry has HPs in it, and when all the dust settles, he is charged with over 40 felonies. All his firearms are taken from his home, and he is looking at some crazy jail time just for accidently going over the border. From what I was told, he has a lawyer who specializes in firearms charges from philly and that lawyers partner from NJ doing the case for free and are willing to go all the way with it. This shit is nuts. Living near the border with NY, we all know the ridiculous and predatory enforcement of these bullshit laws. A few years ago one of my grandfather's friends from PA (a man in his 70s) was looking at 8 years for having an empty 30rd mag under his seat that he didn't know was there when he crossed over into NY. He passed away before the case was settled. Some of these back roads or highways that will take you across the border before you realize what is going on can cost you everything. Be careful out there, these garbage states will find any reason they can to ruin your life. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/tGXEIhJ
