Finally got my CHL here in Oregon and I’m now looking for a handgun. I took a “weapons safety” course, followed by a range day with a private instructor where I got to shoot a selection of handguns. I shot really well with the M&P 9C 2.0, Walther PDP-F (4”), and the Glock 19 Gen 5. That’s also kind of the size I’m looking for (compact). My main question/concern though is regarding the freezing temps and snow exposure my firearm will see. I live in remote area out in the boonies, so exposure to freezing temps would almost be constant for 5 months out of the year. Are the pistols listed all “reliable enough” to handle the extreme cold? Are there considerations to take into account? Am I overthinking it? Thanks in advance. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/ozb86m2
