Takeaways from a road rage incident

Without getting into all the details that are hard to eloquently type…here are my takeaways for anybody who gives 2 shits.1) Leave. Easy to read about it online and think it’s a no brainer when not in the moment…but in the moment, I forgot about it. That won’t happen again.2) I found out I was scared, but not because of the guy making threats, hitting my vehicle with his fists, getting all up on my driver window, or backing his vehicle multiple times into my truck (short of actually hitting it). I was scared because I knew I had a ccw in my waistband with a daughter due any day now. I didn’t need a doubled down version of “your life is about to change forever”..3) I learned what it feels like to have an adrenaline dump and try to think cool and collected with decent speech. First time calling 911 for me. Talking to the 911 operator is not as easy as we THINK, under stress.Good chat with the officer that responded to the call after the fact. Anywho, thought I’d share before I move on with my day ✌🏻 via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/aVzNY6C
