Force on Force

Force on Force TrainingGiven the current ammo situation (hard to find, expensive if you can find it), exploring other training options right now is a great way to train without blasting tons of $$$$ downrange. Medical training, combatives, etc, are all great options to explore right now. So is Force on Force. But ONLY if done well. I've had the pleasure of taking TERRIBLE Force on Force training but also EXCELLENT Force on Force. What is Force on Force? It is scenario-based training that, if done well, allows the student to navigate a variety of realistic scenarios that will have them utilizing a combination of situational awareness, use-of-force law, verbal judo, "hard skills" (drawing, shooting accurately, etc.), communicating with 911, etc. If you take Force on Force that devolves into "paintball-esque cowboys and Indians", you did not take quality Force on Force. Many people buy a gun, a holster, maybe a new belt, maybe even take a handgun class, and then feel ready to take on everyone and everything. Few challenge themselves in scenario training. So, who's done it, and what have your experiences been? via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/3zll0Hv
