Want to get a car holster. Should i just not get one instead?

I’ve had my ccw for a year or so now, daily carry is a 9mm m&p shield, i was thinking about getting a holster for my car, it’s basically just a soft holster that attaches to some straps which are attached to the side of the seat. The only think about that is i don’t want to use that holster as my IWB holster because i normally use a decent kydex one that i like. The problem then becomes whenever i get to and from wherever i’m going i’d have to holster and unholster the gun which is not only a pain in the ass, but from what i’ve been told is also when most accidents happen, not to mention it’s not exactly a good look to be handling a firearm in a parking lot, if someone happens to be walking by. Should i just scrap the idea entirely? Should i find one that i can just attach the holster that i already have?
