Hate to be that guy who has to ask reddit all his questions but I seem to be in a bit of a gray area at the moment. So federal law states that a person must be 21years to legally buy a firearm. However my state (Indiana) Law says that a person only has to he 18years to buy. Now the main way I see this done is by a parent/ guardian gifting it to their child. Personally, i have been in and out of foster care my whole life so I do not have this option. Although i’m under the impression I could buy it from a private dealer (ie. a friends brother, some random crackhead behind the liquor store, etc.) I just want to make sure this is valid. I have my CCW, I just want to make sure that if I purchase a firearm from a buddy this wouldn’t land me in prison. Thanks!! via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/3waIJYl
