If you have to draw your ccw to stop a threat, how fast would you fire?

This is your typical 7yds.By "how fast would you fire", I mean how fast are you willing to put rounds on target?Would you fire one round and wait to see if that neutralizes the threat or would you fire as fast as you can until the threat stops moving?As much as I am in favor of the second option because I dont want to assume that the threat is down when they are not and then bite you in the ass, it could be heavily used against you in court.
