Technically the guy was right, but wrong...

just got back from shopping at one of the the big home improvement stores in my town (MN) and witnessed an interesting encounter at the check out.The older guy (late 60’s) in front of me was open carrying a revolver. Ok, NBD, it’s legal if you’re permitted and I see it around town occasionally. What got my attention was his attitude towards wearing a mask in the store. It’s store policy, it’s not difficult, and it makes you less of a selfish prick. The poor lady working the register calls over the supervisor who asks the guy what is going on. This guy tells the supervisor that it’s against state law to wear a mask while carrying (it’s now obvious to me why he is open carry... wants to make a point) and pats his uncle mike’s style holster. Technically the guy is correct, the legislature has not amended the statute, but the AG has stated they won’t prosecute that law.The manager tells him he’s misinformed and that it’s store policy, wear it or leave. Of course the guy pays with a check (who does that these days anyway?) and that turns into a production as well. Part of me wanted to say something, but i thought better of it and as long as his piece stayed holstered it’s not my problem...Worst part of the whole thing... the guy had the cutest little dog with him, wearing an amazon bought “service dog” vest, because obviously...He ended up making the poor cashier cry (manager took over after he left), and I really felt bad that poor dog had such a douche nozzle for an owner.Long story short... don’t carry openly as a way to force upon others your misconceived ideologies. But if you must, don’t make your poor dog go along for the ride. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/3hgfFqx
