If you have been CCW'ing for a while, chances are you have multiple holsters and have reasons for buying each one.I have been a fan of an easy on, easy off minimalist style holster for years given that I have to doff before going into work. Sometimes I AIWB, sometimes I 4'oclock. Until yesterday I had been using a Raven Vanguard2 daily. Yesterday while walking the dog, the VG2 slid a bit farther back than I liked. Having had this happen often before, I reached back and slid it forward to about 4. at that point, I realized I had basically drawn inside my shorts. With a look of terror as I walked on the sidewalk in front of a number of occupied businesses and patios, I held it with my hand flat and rounded the corner about 20ft away, knelt down like i was tying my shoe, pulled it from my shorts, cleared it, and dropped it in my pocket for the rest of the walk.It was my first real "oh shit" moment, and the first time it has ever come out of the trigger guard without a proper upward draw.VG2. Never again. I'll go back to my bulky pink AIWB sidecar type until I find a suitable AIWB/3 o'clock hybrid with a claw. This is 100% operator error, but since I can't trust myself not to move it, I will be getting rid of the VG2. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2ED0aLX
