I see marketing all the time for subcompacts and the like that say things like "Makes a great backup gun!" However, all the concealed carriers I know (and I know quite a few here in Alabama) carry one firearm, and their backup weapon is usually a fixed blade or a non-lethal option like a taser, pepper spray, or a collapsible baton. I guess I just wonder how effective marketing like this is, given that I don't know anyone who carries a backup gun. Does anyone here carry a backup gun (BUG) on their person in addition to their primary carry gun?Edit: Clarification via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2Z9xC38
