In the case of self defense as home invasions and attacks happen during this pandemic, what makes a better use fixed or folding in the case of self defense at home or that may also come in handy when out in the woods?

Question is kinda out there, just been looking for a knife for SD at home as crimes seem to be sky rocketing and who knows what the next couple of months look like should crimes in the streets or burglary go up?
