Grounds for Denial? Please Help.

Hello guys, I’m a 25 year old that just realized the importance of carrying a firearm for protection. I plan on getting my Michigan CPL in the next month or two. I still currently do not own a firearm, but will be getting one within weeks.I was searching around reddit, when I came across a post (from 8 years ago) where a guy claimed he was denied a Michigan CPL and showed the denial letter. The reason for his denial was that “when he was a minor, he was found guilty of a crime that WOULD HAVE BEEN a felony if he were arrested for it as an adult.”This is concerning for me. First of all, I don’t understand how you can be punished as a felon when you were never charged with a felony. Second, I too was arrested for a crime that very well could’ve been a felony if I were an adult. I was 15 at the time. I don’t remember what they dropped the charge to in the plea agreement but I do know that I am not a felon today. Third, the guy posted no resolution at all. So i don’t know if he appealed and won, appealed and lost, etc.I’m honestly just hoping to hear what the general consensus is here, as well as take any advice you guys may be able to give me. I appreciate your time. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/38BO6Eo
